OVERVIEW
Designed by Hip Hing Construction, this pioneering project is Hong Kong's first in-situ expansion of a public building using Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technology, adding approximately 12,000 square metres atop the existing High Block. The expansion symbolises a brighter future for Hong Kong through accommodating the increased number of Legislative Council Members following electoral reforms
IMPACT
Our contribution featured the 1110 Gypsum Block Walling System, installed using GA-90 Gypsum Adhesive to ensure a strong, fire-resistant masonry bond, and finished with PMS-11 Moisture Sealer. The PMS-11 acts as a high-performance moisture barrier, blocking moisture transfer and promoting bonding on the gypsum blocks, which was essential for preparing a stable, high-quality surface for a sustainable, forward-looking legislative building that meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
