OVERVIEW
Designed by Philip Liao, the S H Ho Academic Building is the first phase of the university's Master Campus Expansion Plan. The project achieved the Final Platinum rating under BEAM Plus New Buildings V1.1, making HSUHK the first higher education institution in Hong Kong to receive this highest green building certification for its academic buildings.
IMPACT
GreenTech Building Materials provided its high-performance Gypsum Block Walling System (1180, 1110), installed with GA-90 to fire-resistant internal partitions of this academic building. The walls were finished with GS-80. This material system was ideally suited to the demanding academic environment, where durability, acoustic insulation, and fire safety are essential.
